Lithuania’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has decided to revoke Adolfas Kaminskas’ Lithuanian citizenship, according to a statement issued by the government agency on December 13. Kaminskas is married to Elena Kaminskas (maiden name Shebunova) – the mother of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu’s illegitimate children.

The Lithuanian Department of Migration had previously suggested the Ministry of Internal Affairs deprive Kaminskas of his citizenship, as it turned out that he had a Russian passport (as confirmed by an extract from Russia’s register of legal entities). Kaminskas “does not have the right to multiple citizenship,” according to the department.

As The Insider learned, Kaminskas' Russian passport was first mentioned in the Russian registry in April 2022.

A few years ago, Kaminskas, the owner of a small moped business, began to get rich quick and became the beneficiary of several Lithuanian businesses in Vilnius with €20 million in assets. His sudden enrichment coincided with his marriage to Elena Shebunova, the mother of Sergei Shoigu's illegitimate children, who made billions from government contracts. Read more about this in an investigation by The Insider’s Sergey Ezhov.

In early December, the Lithuanian media reported that Elena Kaminskas (Shebunova) was denied entry to the Schengen zone for 3 years. She was also banned from entering Lithuania for five years and was been deprived of her Lithuanian residence permit (LPR).
