Slovak Defense Minister Jaroslav Nad’ reacted to reports that two Russian missiles hit Poland during a massive rocket attack on Ukraine on November 15.
“Very concerned by Russian missiles dropping in Poland. Russia must explain what happened. Senseless attacks on infrastructure must stop immediately. Russia's recklessness is getting out of hand. Will be in close contact with [Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak] and Allies to coordinate response,” the minister tweeted.
Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the people of Poland and said that Ukraine was ready to support the Polish people. He called the incident in eastern Poland “a significant escalation” and added that “action was necessary.”
Poland urgently convened a meeting of its National Security and Defense Council under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. Polish Radio ZET reported on the explosions in the village of Przewodowy in the Lublin Voivodeship near the border with Ukraine. According to these reports, two people were killed.
