Ukraine's Border Service says Rogozin restaurant strike was illegal border crossing notice

The State Border Service of Ukraine confirmed the strike on the restaurant in which former Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin was wounded and said it was a “notice” of illegal border crossing to Rogozin.

“The border guards could not personally hand the protocol to the offender, so concerned citizens handed it to him during his birthday celebration. The border service urges the Russians to comply with Ukrainian laws or else,” the report says.

Rogozin was taken from Donetsk to the military clinical hospital in Rostov-on-Don. He is being treated and his life is not in danger.

Rogozin's aide said that the people accompanying him, in particular the chairman of the “DNR government,” Vitaliy Khotsenko, also suffered injuries.

Baza reports that a total of two people were killed in the shelling of the restaurant and five others were wounded.

At the time of the shelling, Rogozin was in the Shesh-Besh restaurant on the first floor of a hotel.

According to media reports, he was celebrating his birthday.
