State Duma deputies from the United Russia party have been banned from leaving Russia without the permission of the faction's leader, Vladimir Vasilyev. If a deputy wants to go abroad, he must submit an application, indicating the country, the purpose and time of the departure, Holod.media reports citing the relevant directive, which is available to the editors.
The document notes that the directive does not apply to deputies being sent on business trips outside Russia.
The decision to approve a departure can be made in the form of an application, or verbally, if necessary, the directive says.
